A vision-based approach for automatic progress tracking of floor paneling in offsite construction facilities

Offsite construction is an approach focused on moving tasks from traditional jobsites to manufacturing facilities. Improved productivity of paramount in terms competitiveness and achieved through the continuous improvement operations planning, which often relies historical data obtained previous projects. Despite being a common practice, current methods, such as time studies, are not able capture changing scenarios resulting improvements production. This paper presents novel automatically detect track progress by applying method that combines deep learning algorithms finite state machines existing footage captured closed-circuit television (CCTV) security cameras. Applied context floor panel stations, proposed examines entire production days recorded CCTV cameras, while providing durations each task, its required resources, task efficiency per with high accuracy.
